TP Covers

From installation of the foundation to the installation of the tower, it is critical to ensure protection of the advanced and delicate equipment within the transition piece or foundation. With a highly corrosive offshore environment with saltwater splashes, high winds and bird droppings, the protection of the inside of the transition piece and monopile is no easy task.

Aluwind successfully developed three types of TP covers. Each type could be adjusted to the customer’s needs. Core version (Type C) could be the best choice for simple functionality with great durability and stiffness.

Reinforced cover (Type R) is made of innovative aluminum structure (steel optionally) to provide strong support for various lifting points (e.g. medevac stretcher hoist, equipment hoist, cables hoist).

Heavy Duty cover (Type HD) is additionally equipped with a heavy-duty steel strong point underneath that allows for cable hoist from the seabed.
